So I bought into the hype. I went and spent a good amount of money on new makeup. I do wear it every day and I have had the same brand loyality since my first blue eyeshadow in 7th grade. Being bombarded by masacara commercials and the magazine ads in Lucky actually worked.
“Yes I do need longer, fuller lashes!” No one has noticed my new impressive eyelash volume that has made my eyes itch like crazy by the end of the day.
“Yes I do need lipstick that lasts all day!” No one tells you that it stains your lips so that when you are in your pajamas brushing your teeth right before bed, your lips are still ready to go out and party.
The price we pay for beauty and for vanity? Judging by my bill at CVS its $24.98.
